Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant with proven expertise in managing core accounting functions, financial reporting, and compliance within the UAE market. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in monthly closing, budgeting, forecasting, customer billing, and payment collection. This role requires strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments while also working independently.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Compliance
- Record, review, and ensure accurate reporting of all business transactions in compliance with IFRS.
- Manage the full cycle of accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and file tax returns (VAT and other applicable taxes) in line with UAE tax regulations, ensuring timely compliance.
- Maintain proper accounting documentation, vouchers, and records as per statutory requirements.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of annual audited financial statements, including drafting related notes and supporting schedules.
- Conduct detailed analysis of expense variances, highlighting key insights for management decision-making.
- Generate and present MIS reports, including monthly profitability analysis, quarterly and annual budgets, and cash flow projections.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business strategy and operational efficiency.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning
- Develop and monitor yearly/quarterly budgets in collaboration with management.
- Prepare rolling forecasts, analyzing trends and deviations from business targets.
- Support strategic decision-making through financial modeling and scenario analysis.
Operational Finance
- Oversee customer billing, ensure timely invoicing, and monitor payment collections.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to improve receivables management.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve finance-related operational matters.
- Independently negotiate with existing suppliers, onboard new vendors, and maintain updated supplier databases.
- Track and optimize procurement costs to enhance business profitability.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent discipline (mandatory).
- Professional qualification preferred: M.Com, Inter CA, or MBA (Finance).
- Minimum 4 years of professional accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the UAE market.
- Solid knowledge of UAE tax regulations and financial compliance standards.
- Prior experience in preparing MIS reports, budgets, and financial statements is essential.
