Amity International School, Abu Dhabi is seeking a well-qualified, passionate, and experienced Modern Languages Teacher, to join our diverse and dynamic department. Candidates must possess proficiency and teaching experience in GCSE German and then one other language from French or Spanish. The MFL department teaches across both the Primary and Secondary school. The desired candidate will have a proven track record of raising student attainment.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in French and German, or equivalent dual language qualification
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Modern Languages specialization
  • Proficiency in both French and German languages is essential
  • Experience teaching both French and German at secondary level is required
  • Knowledge of GCSE and A-Level curriculum requirements for both languages
  • Native or near-native fluency in both French and German
  • Experience in organizing language-related cultural events and exchanges
  • Ability to deliver engaging and interactive language lessons
  • Experience with differentiated teaching approaches for varied ability levels
  • Strong classroom management and assessment skills
  • Knowledge of current language teaching methodologies and digital resources
  • Ability to contribute to the school’s extracurricular language program
  • Experience in preparing students for language proficiency examinations
  • Commitment to developing students’ intercultural awareness and communication skills
