Amity International School, Abu Dhabi is seeking a well-qualified, passionate, and experienced Teacher of IGCSE and A level Art. Candidates must possess proficiency and teaching experience in Fine Art, Textiles and Graphic Communication specialisms. The desired candidate will have a proven track record of raising student attainment.

About the Opportunity

Due to expansion in our senior school and an increased demand for places, we are currently recruiting for new and outstanding teachers to join our successful team from August 2025. We invite applicants who can demonstrate exceptional teaching resulting in high student attainment through practices and principles of positive education.

We are looking for a new team member to primarily work with the secondary pupils to oversee the provision for Art in what is already an award-winning department.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts/Art Education OR
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Art specialization
  • Experience teaching Art at secondary level following the British curriculum
  • Knowledge of GCSE and A-Level Art curriculum requirements
  • Strong personal portfolio demonstrating artistic capabilities
  • Experience in organizing student exhibitions and art competitions
  • Proficiency in multiple artistic mediums and techniques
  • Ability to inspire creativity and foster artistic development in students
  • Experience in integrating digital art tools and techniques in the curriculum
  • Knowledge of art history and contemporary art practices
  • Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
  • Ability to contribute to the school’s extracurricular art program
  • Experience in assessment and moderation of art portfolios
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
