Job Title: Business Analyst – SupTech Regulatory Reporting Transformation Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Department: Regulatory Reporting / Financial Control & Planning
Job Purpose The Business Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the implementation of the Central Bank of UAE’s SupTech BRF initiative. This role involves translating regulatory requirements into actionable business and technical specifications, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely delivery of enhanced reporting capabilities aligned with CBUAE’s supervisory expectations.
Key Responsibilities Regulatory Analysis & Requirement Gathering
- Analyze CBUAE’s SupTech BRF Phase 1 guidelines, including 135 BRFs and upcoming Phase 2 templates.
- Interpret regulatory changes related to borrower demographics, credit risk metrics (PD, LGD, RWA), market risk sensitivities (CS01, DV01), and ESG reporting.
- Collaborate with Risk, Finance, Treasury, and Compliance teams to gather business requirements.
Process Design & Documentation
- Map current reporting workflows and identify gaps against new SupTech requirements.
- Document business requirements, functional specifications, and validation rules.
- Define reporting levels (Consolidated, Solo, UAE Operations) and submission frequencies.
Technology Coordination
- Work closely with IT squads to support integration with CBUAE’s unified portal (Web Form, Excel/XBRL Upload, API).
- Ensure system readiness, data validation, and automation of reporting processes.
- Test and validate deliveries from the development team to ensure alignment with business requirements and regulatory expectations.
- Support resolution of technical issues related to data quality and submission.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a liaison between business units and technology teams.
- Coordinate feedback collection and consolidation for CBUAE consultations.
- Facilitate one-on-one sessions with CBUAE to resolve specific queries.
Project Management Support
- Track milestones, dependencies, and deliverables across reporting transformation initiatives.
- Support change management and training efforts for impacted teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in regulatory reporting, business analysis, or financial systems implementation.
- Strong understanding of UAE banking regulations.
- Experience with RegTech platforms and reporting automation tools.
- Familiarity with data formats (Excel, XBRL), APIs, and validation frameworks.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, JIRA).
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience working with CBUAE reporting frameworks.
Preferred
- Knowledge of market risk and credit risk modeling.
