Job Description
The Assistant Manager Finance will be responsible for maintaining accurate books of accounts, preparing MIS reports, managing budgeting processes, and ensuring financial discipline across operations of the furniture business. The role requires strong analytical skills, cost control expertise, and hands-on accounting experience.
• Maintain and oversee day-to-day accounting operations
• Ensure timely recording of all financial transactions (sales, purchases, expenses, inventory)
• Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer ledgers
• Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions
• Ensure accurate monthly and annual closing of accounts.
• Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations (GST, TDS, etc.).
• Prepare monthly MIS reports to management.
• Analyze sales performance by product category, showroom, and region.
• Monitor gross margins, overheads, and operational costs.
• Provide variance analysis (Actual vs Budget).
• Track inventory turnover, slow-moving stock, and working capital metrics.
• Support data-driven decision-making with financial insights.
• Assist in annual budgeting and periodic forecasting.
• Assist in internal and statutory audits.
• Maintain proper documentation and accounting records.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.
• Develop Power BI dashboard to help the company for making data driven decisions.
• Ensure proper issuance and accuracy of all financial information internal and external on timely basis
Educational Qualifications
• Qualifications in accounting & finance background like CIMA, ACCA, Inter CA.
• Working Knowledge of Power BI & Microsoft tools.
• 4–7 years of experience in finance & accounting,
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
Experience
• Competent professional with over 4-7 years of experience in Financial Management, creating dashboards, Accounting & Business Analysis.
