Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cashier role based at Dr. Batoul Reffai Medical Center in Al Ain. The Cashier is responsible for handling patient payments, issuing receipts, and maintaining accurate cash, card, and electronic transaction records. Daily tasks include verifying patient billing information, processing invoices, reconciling cash drawers, and preparing end-of-day financial summaries. The role also involves answering basic billing inquiries, coordinating with reception and accounting teams, and following established financial and confidentiality policies. The Cashier will support a smooth patient check-out experience and uphold a professional and welcoming front-desk presence.
Qualifications
- Strong cash handling and point-of-sale skills, including accurate calculation, reconciliation, and basic bookkeeping.
- Experience with billing, invoicing, and basic accounting or finance procedures, ideally in a healthcare or clinic setting.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with patients and colleagues.
- Proficiency with computers and office software (e.g., MS Office, clinic or billing systems) and ability to learn new tools quickly.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or additional languages is an advantage.
- Previous experience as a cashier, receptionist, or administrative assistant in healthcare, hospitality, or retail is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in accounting, finance, or healthcare administration is a plus.
