Job Description

The Director of Sales & Marketing thrives on shaping strategy, driving growth, and enhancing every touchpoint of the hotel’s market presence.

  • Craft and execute Sales & Marketing strategies across domestic and international markets, positioning the hotel as the destination of choice for luxury travellers.
  • Lead, mentor, and empower the Sales & Marketing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and measurable results.
  • Set, manage, and deliver on budgets for Sales, Marketing, and Conference & Events Sales departments while driving commercial performance.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor insights, and economic conditions, adapting strategies to maximise occupancy, RevPAR, and market share.
  • Prepare insightful reports, track KPIs, forecast Meetings & Events revenue, and provide actionable guidance to the Executive Team and General Manager.
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions, building the brand and generating meaningful connections.
  • Lead client meetings, sales trips, and promotional initiatives that raise visibility and attract new business.

Qualifications

Problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

5 to 6 years of experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel

Significant experience in Sales and Marketing within luxury hotels in the UAE

Demonstrated ability to source and convert key business opportunities

Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field

Strategic thinker, pro-active and focused on achieving results

Strong knowledge of marketing streams, digital and social media

Ability to lead, supervise and coordinate a multi-skilled team

Passionate for luxury and knowledgeable about opportunities in the segment

Proficiency in hotel management systems and software

Well-refined sales techniques, customer relationship management, communication and negotiation skills

Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
