Job Description
Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
· Ensure all accounting transactions are completed effectively and efficiently.
· Assist in preparing and examining accounting statements to ensure accountability and accuracy.
· Ensure that all accounting records and documents comply with management requirements and provide an easily auditable record.
· Ensure all cash transactions are handled according to Accounts & Finance policies and procedures and that all cash is deposited on in the bank on the date of receipt.
· Ensure all petty cash is managed and accounted for in accordance with Accounts & Finance policies and procedures.
· Follow best practices for accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions to ensure a healthy cash flow cycle.
· Assist in the preparation of monthly bank reconciliation for the company bank accounts and resolve long-outstanding items.
· Support internal and external audits, as required.
· Perform other duties as required by the Chief Accountant.
· Ensure that standards of quality and quantity of work are met and support the achievement of company strategic goals and objectives.
