Roles & Responsibilities

  • Dispense medications accurately, verifying prescriptions for dosage, drug interactions, and allergies, ensuring patient safety.
  • Counsel patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and storage instructions, fostering patient understanding and adherence.
  • Oversee pharmacy operations, including inventory management, ordering, and storage of pharmaceuticals, maintaining optimal stock levels.
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services, such as medication therapy management and patient education, optimizing patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use, participating in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles, complying with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Stay updated on new medications, treatment guidelines, and pharmacy practices through continuous professional development.
  • Prepare and compound medications as needed, adhering to sterile and non-sterile compounding techniques.
  • Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organized, and compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Holds a valid license to practice pharmacy in the UAE, specifically with DHA or MOH registration.
  • Possesses a Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital, retail, or clinical pharmacy setting.
  • Exhibits strong knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, drug interactions, and therapeutic uses of medications.
  • Proficient in using pharmacy software and electronic health record systems.
  • Displays excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to address medication-related issues.
