Job Description

Job Purpose:

This position is with Khalifa University in partnership with a leading government entity. Project Management is responsible for leading integrated planning, performance monitoring, and risk oversight for Office of the Managing Partner. Responsibilities include maintaining the master plan, monitoring IOC–FOC readiness and delivering accurate governance reports and dashboards that support executive decision-making.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage all project phases, from planning and design to execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Develop and maintain and update the consolidated OMP master project plan covering all Managing Partner (MP) functions.
  • Define project timelines and ensure alignment with approved quality standards and governance requirements.
  • Translate institutional mandates into structured workstreams with clear milestones and deliverables.
  • Monitor and Track IOC → FOC transition readiness milestones, identifying gaps and escalating delays, as required.
  • Maintain institutional dashboards covering KPIs, timelines, risks, and interdependencies.
  • Identify cross-functional risks, potential delivery constraints and coordinate mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews with section leads.
  • Define project’s tasks and manage budget and resource requirements, in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare structured governance reports for JET, Operations Committee, and Executive Committee.
  • Validate completeness and accuracy of section-level submissions prior to escalation.
  • Define project timelines and ensure timely deliverables in line with organizational quality standards.
  • Resolve project related conflicts and operational issues as they arise, escalating major risks to senior management when necessary.
  • Ensure adherence of project deliverables to specified budget and schedules, performance targets across the various stages.
  • Ensure quality control of deliverables and documentation.
  • Validate business case for any new initiatives.
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews with section leads to assess progress and resolve bottlenecks
  • Ensure project team performance, track adherence to policies, standards and procedures and follow up deviations or non-compliances to policies and standards.
  • Ensure documentation of project reports.
  • Monitor compliance with institutional policies, standards, and procedures, addressing deviations proactively
  • Adhere to the University’s information security and confidentiality policies and procedures, and report breaches or other security risks accordingly
  • Coordinate with other departments to facilitate the accomplishment of tasks and responsibilities, as and when needed.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment and practice to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.
  • Provide coaching, guidance and mentoring as required to enhance the internal capabilities of the team and ensure the achievement of established objectives and plans.
  • Conduct periodic meetings with subordinates to ensure that priorities are clear and workflow is running smoothly.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
  • Project Management Certification or excellent knowledge with project management methodologies and tools
  • Adaptability, proactivity, willingness to take on additional responsibilities; skilled in relationship building and teamwork.
  • A minimum 8 years of experience of which at least 3 years of experience in project coordination, project management or related field.
