Job Purpose:
The Sales Manager – Waste Management Division is responsible for leading the division’s sales and revenue activities. The role focuses on driving business growth through the sale of waste management equipment and solutions, managing key accounts, and building strong relationships with government and private sector clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the sales operations and revenue generation for the Waste Management Division.
- Sell a wide range of waste management products including compactors, recycling equipment, composters, balers, pressure cleaners (PCs), sweepers, and related industrial equipment.
- Promote and sell waste management accessories such as metallic and plastic bins, street furniture, and other related items.
- Handle sales activities and maintain strong business relations with both government entities and private sector clients.
- Build and maintain close contacts with decision-makers in major customer segments to strengthen market presence and improve conversion rates.
- Lead, motivate, and monitor the performance of the sales team to ensure that company targets and service standards are consistently met.
- Manage new client inquiries and act as the primary face of the division for external communications.
- Resolve operational or client-related issues while maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
- Coordinate with internal teams including inventory, procurement, and stores for effective material flow and accurate demand forecasting.
- Maintain detailed reporting on sales performance, forecasts, and market trends for management review.
- Provide market intelligence and competitor insights to support management in strategic planning and business development.
- Regularly update management on performance, challenges, and potential solutions during review meetings.
- Liaise with international principals, vendors, and suppliers regarding product specifications and collaborations.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, business administration and related fileds.
- 7–10 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the waste management, environmental services, or equipment sales industry.
- Proven experience selling equipment or products such as compactors, sweepers, balers, and related waste management systems.
- Established business network and strong relationships with government and private sector stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Solid understanding of market dynamics, industry regulations, and procurement processes.
