SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANT

Reporting to: Social Media Manager
THE ROLE
As a Social Media Assistant at Sands UAE, you will support the day-to-day execution of content across all social media channels, contributing to a luxury brand experience that is consistent, engaging, and culturally relevant.
You will work closely with the Social Media Manager to bring creative ideas to life — from drafting captions and building content calendars to editing videos and designing visuals. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role for someone who lives and breathes social media and has a sharp eye for luxury aesthetics.
As part of the Sands team, you will play an active role in shaping how the brand shows up online, supporting campaigns, influencer activations, and community engagement that reflect the Sands standard of excellence.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Support the planning, scheduling, and publishing of content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn in line with the content calendar.
- Draft compelling captions, post copy, and basic scripts that are on-brand, engaging, and platform-appropriate.
- Create and edit short-form video content using CapCut/Adobe Premiere Pro, optimised for Reels, TikToks, and Stories.
- Design visual assets and templates using Canva/Adobe Photoshop/Figma that align with Sands’ luxury aesthetic.
- Source and coordinate visuals, ensuring all content meets brand standards before publishing.
- Monitor comments, DMs, and mentions across platforms, flagging inquiries and supporting timely community engagement.
- Assist in the execution of influencer collaborations, campaign rollouts, and brand activations.
- Compile basic performance reports and surface key insights to support content optimisation.
- Stay up to date on social media trends, platform updates, and relevant movements in the luxury and lifestyle space.
WHO YOU ARE
- 1–2 years of experience in a social media, content creation, or marketing role.
- Proficient in CapCut, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and/or Premiere Pro).
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn — how each platform works, what performs, and why.
- A natural eye for luxury aesthetics, visual consistency, and brand voice.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone across formats and audiences.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- A self-starter who takes initiative and contributes ideas, not just executes tasks.
- Comfortable working on-site in Dubai within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- A relevant diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field is an advantage.
