The Social Media Manager is responsible for ensuring the execution of high-quality, engaging social content in alignment with the overarching content strategy and the department’s standards.
This role leads the organic social team in planning, developing, and adapting social media campaigns to ensure a cohesive and seamless customer experience across channels, including Instagram, TikTok, influencer collaborations, and other touchpoints. By crafting and curating content that aligns with marketing objectives, the Social Media Manager ensures that messaging supports each stage of the customer journey while driving engagement, brand awareness, and sales.
As an integral role within the Content Department, the Social Media Manager works closely with the Head of Department to contribute to the development and implementation of the social media strategy, ensuring alignment with the key marketing and trade calendars. This includes leading the strategic delivery of organic social initiatives, optimizing content for performance, and collaborating with influencer and commercial partners to enhance visibility.
As a cross-functional leader, the Social Media Manager ensures that the organic social strategy is integrated across all marketing channels, supporting key trade and seasonal focuses while maintaining consistency with the brand’s visual identity and messaging. Additionally, this role oversees performance analysis and reporting, working with stakeholders to refine strategies based on insights. In collaboration with the Head of Department and group stakeholders, the Social Media Manager also contributes to strategic platform development and ensures accurate, relevant commercial reporting to support business objectives.
Strategic Roles and Responsibilities
• Align social media initiatives with trade and seasonal calendars.
• Partner with influencer and commercial teams to enhance visibility and engagement.
• Drive strategic platform development and lead creative workshops.
• Maintain a forward-looking approach by monitoring industry trends and competitor activities.
• Contribute to social media content strategy to achieve overall business objectives.
• Data & Analytic platform selection contribution during GPO activities for commercial monitoring.
Functional Roles and Responsibilities
• Manage all aspects of organic social media strategy, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives.
• Develop a content strategy to attract Gen Z and Millennial audiences.
• Collaborate with cross-department teams to maintain the brand’s messaging and visual identity.
• Optimize social media reporting to track KPIs, including engagement, follower growth, impressions, and sales.
People Management Roles and Responsibilities
• Provide inspiring leadership to the Organic Social Media Team.
• Oversee team deliverables and provide mentorship for skill and career growth.
• Conduct regular reviews of team recommendations to ensure strategic alignment.
- 6-8 years of experience in social media management, with at least 2 years managing a team
- Deep understanding of social platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok, and Snapchat.
- Past experience working for a fashion, luxury, beauty or similar brand
- Proficiency in analytics tools (Google Analytics, SocialBakers, Sprinklr, Dash Hudson).
- Strong writing and editing skills with excellent grammar.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications for social media content adaptation.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and performance marketing channels.
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Keynote skills.
