Commissioning Engineer (Power Generation) Dubai, UAE
For a power generation IPP project in Dubai, UAE, we are mobilizing an Owner’s Engineer team to support EPC design review, construction supervision, site inspection, testing, commissioning, COD readiness, and warranty-period follow-up.
We are looking for experienced professionals with strong EPC, Owner’s Engineer, consultant-side, power generation, utilities, waste-to-energy, biogas, landfill gas, thermal power, or industrial project experience.
Job Description
We are looking for a Commissioning Engineer to support pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, testing, reliability testing, performance testing, and COD readiness for a confidential power generation IPP project in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Review commissioning plans, pre-commissioning procedures, commissioning procedures, test packs, system handover packages, and start-up methodology.
- Supervise and witness pre-commissioning, commissioning, energization, start-up, reliability tests, performance tests, and capacity tests.
- Verify test arrangements, instrumentation suitability, test documentation, and commissioning readiness.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, I&C, civil, HSE, planning, and EPC teams.
- Monitor punch list completion, system turnover, and handover status.
- Review test results and provide recommendations on plant readiness, reliability, performance, and COD.
- Support the preparation of commissioning reports, handover documentation, O&M documentation, and final close-out records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, I&C, Process Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of commissioning experience.
- Experience in power generation, utilities, industrial, waste-to-energy, biogas, landfill gas, or EPC projects.
- Strong knowledge of commissioning systems, testing, start-up, reliability testing, performance testing, and COD processes.
- Previous EPC or Owner’s Engineer experience is preferred.
- Strong coordination, reporting, and technical review skills.
