Job Overview

Responsible for the design, analysis, and preparation of scaffolding systems for construction projects, ensuring compliance with applicable safety standards, project specifications, and design requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Design Calculations & Drawings

• Prepare scaffolding design calculations, drawings, and technical submittals.
• Develop scaffolding layouts and structural designs in accordance with project requirements and relevant standards.

Specification Review & Coordination

• Review project specifications and site requirements to determine suitable scaffolding solutions.
• Coordinate with project teams, site engineers, and clients regarding scaffolding design requirements.

Structural Safety Assessment

• Conduct structural assessments and ensure the stability and safety of scaffolding systems.
• Provide technical support during installation, modification, and dismantling activities.

Compliance & Design Approval

• Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and company procedures.
• Review and approve scaffolding design revisions as required by project changes.

Site Validation & Documentation

• Participate in site visits and inspections to validate design implementation.
• Maintain design records, calculations, and documentation.

Other Tasks and Accountabilities

• Perform additional tasks relevant to the role / area of expertise as requested by management to achieve the objectives and commitments of the department.
• Act in full compliance with all relevant health, safety, quality and environmental Integrated Management System to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude.

Position Requirements (Education & Experience)

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, or Structural Engineering.
• Work Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in scaffolding design.

Core Competencies

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000 and STAAD Pro
• Knowledge of scaffolding standards (BS EN, TG20, NASC guidelines)
• Ability to conduct structural analysis and safety assessments
