Scheduling / Planning Engineer including Document Control (Power Generation)
For a power generation IPP project in Dubai, UAE, we are mobilizing an Owner’s Engineer team to support EPC design review, construction supervision, site inspection, testing, commissioning, COD readiness, and warranty-period follow-up.
We are looking for experienced professionals with strong EPC, Owner’s Engineer, consultant-side, power generation, utilities, waste-to-energy, biogas, landfill gas, thermal power, or industrial project experience.
Job Description
We are looking for a Scheduling / Planning Engineer with document control experience to support EPC schedule monitoring, progress reporting, critical path analysis, trend reporting, and document control for a confidential power generation IPP project in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Review and monitor EPC Contractor schedules covering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
- Audit EPC Contractor planning procedures and compliance with approved reporting requirements.
- Review critical path, schedule logic, progress updates, delay risks, recovery plans, and schedule deviations.
- Prepare planning input for weekly reports, monthly reports, progress dashboards, and trend reports.
- Coordinate with discipline engineers to verify actual site progress and milestone achievement.
- Maintain the integrated project schedule and support schedule-related risk identification.
- Establish, administer, and maintain the project document center / EDMS.
- Track drawings, submittals, correspondence, review comments, approvals, and document status.
- Ensure timely distribution, storage, and retrieval of project documents in line with procedures.
- Support payment milestone review, progress verification, claims analysis, and change order review where required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum 8–10 years of planning and scheduling experience on EPC / construction projects.
- Strong experience in power generation, energy, utilities, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Experience with document control systems / EDMS is required.
- Strong knowledge of critical path analysis, progress measurement, reporting, and delay monitoring.
- Excellent coordination and reporting skills.
