Applications are invited from qualified and experienced candidates, for the opening of Head of Department Of English for our reputed British Curriculum school, located in Dubai, UAE.

In This Role You Are Expected

• To lead, manage and develop the provision of the Subject teaching and learning within the school and to ensure appropriate monitoring, analysis and evaluation.
• To lead the department’s strategic and operational development.
• To raise standards of pupil attainment and progress within the whole curriculum area and to monitor and support pupil progress.
• To be accountable for pupil progress and development within the subject area.
• To develop and enhance the teaching practices of teachers.
• To ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for pupils.
• Providing opportunities of enrichment for gifted & talented and students with special needs.
• Conducting professional development trainings.
• Ensuring continued innovation in the teaching of English
• To manage and deploy teaching/support staff, and physical resources within the department effectively to support the department development plan.
  

Qualifications And Requirements

M.A or M.Ed,/Masters in Education in English, certificate should be attested with MOFA, UAE.

Excellent communication skills.

Experience as HOD or Coordinator in a British Curriculum school in UAE is highly preferred

Understanding of KHDA school inspection framework.

Good leadership skills.

Should be able to join immediately
