Job Description
- Support the student’s learning, in and out of the classroom, including breaktimes and after-school activities as needed.Â
- Requires 1:1 support to access curriculum and school environment.
- Be familiar with the student’s IEP and its objectives
- Liaise with teachers, key workers, and other professionals (e.g. speech and language therapists) as required
- Help the student develop independence, communication skills, and confidence
- Identify barriers to learning and support access to the curriculum
- Support reading, written work, and completion of set tasks
- Assist with social integration, group work, and wider school life (clubs, activities, trips)
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reports and review meetings
- Comply with all relevant policies, including Child Protection, Health & Safety, and Confidentiality
Essential Requirements
- Degree-level education in Education, Psychology, Special Education or related field
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Valid UAE Police Clearance Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Discretion and confidentiality essential
