Overview of the role:

The Project Manager works under the supervision of the head of Operations, responsible for leading the project team to deliver the project from inception to completion successfully. The role includes planning, directing, and coordinating the project’s operations, ensuring performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability through effective methods.

What you will do:

• Develop and implement the project execution plan, ensuring quality control standards and cost control for on-time completion.
• Deliver projects on time, within budget and quality set by the organization.
• Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met.
• Coordinate with project managers and project directors for timely order of materials and labor planning.
• Supervise, monitor, and report project progress throughout the project cycle.
• Oversee the installation and construction work to maintain efficient standards of workmanship.
• Maintain proper records of completed project documentation.
• Elaborate and update project planning data (effort, actual costs versus budget, schedules, personnel deployment, etc.).

Cost Management:

• Execute projects within estimated material/labor/staff costs.
• Make monthly payment applications, obtain certification, and collection through QS & Finance.
• Obtain variation orders on scope changes instructed by the employer.

Engineering:

• Monitor and ensure pre-construction project activities align with the project plan.
• Ensure adequate resources are assigned to the project in coordination with the project head.
• Ensure Engineering/Design complies with Local Authorities and specialist manufacturer’s recommendations.

Quality Standards:

• Responsible for assigning adequate QA/QC staff.
• Monitor and control the quality performance of the projects.
• Ensure no quality deviations occur in the projects.

Health, Safety & Environment:

• Ensure compliance with AFE HSE Policy by all company and subcontract personnel.
• Actively support and participate in safety and environmental initiatives.

What Equips you for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (IT/Communication/Electricals/Engineering/Similar).
• PMP certification.
• Proficiency in using MS Office.
• 7 to 10 years relevant work experience in ICT/ELV project implementation.

Job-Specific Technical Skills:

• Hands-on experience in installation/construction activities.
• Experience commissioning various ICT/ELV/AV systems.
• Technical training/certifications in leading ICT/ELV/AV Systems.
• Expert knowledge of industry standards, practices, and regulations.
• Knowledge of QS & QC processes and networks.
• Experience in basic network implementation, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge in AutoCAD.
• Good knowledge of Project execution processes and local codes of practice.
