Gulf Model School announces a vacancy for a School Counselor for the 2026-2027 academic year, in accordance with Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) standards.
… Key Responsibilities at Gulf Model School:

  1. Conducting guidance and counseling sessions, as well as psychosocial support programs for students from Grades 1 to 12.
  2. Providing individual and group psychosocial support to students.
  3. Monitoring cases of bullying, absenteeism, behavior, and academic performance in collaboration with teachers and parents.
  4. Implementing the child protection policy.
  5. Preparing periodic reports for the KHDA and conducting psychosocial support surveys.
  6. Organizing workshops for parents on positive parenting and emotional management.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Student Counseling, or Social Work.
  2. Experience: Minimum of two years of experience as a school counselor; prior experience is an added advantage.
  3. Licensing: Must hold a professional license from the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) or have obtained preliminary approval.
  4. Skills: Excellent communication skills with students and parents; strict adherence to confidentiality; proficiency in English.
  5. Training: Certifications in Psychological First Aid, handling bullying, and positive parenting techniques.
