About the job
* Manage daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
* Prepare and maintain accurate invoices, vouchers, receipts, and other financial documents.
* Perform bank, supplier, customer, and ledger reconciliations.
* Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and ensure timely follow-up.
* Assist with monthly closing, financial reports, and management reporting.
* Maintain proper documentation and records of all accounting transactions.
* Assist in the preparation and submission of UAE VAT returns and ensure compliance with applicable VAT requirements.
* Coordinate with suppliers, customers, banks, and internal departments regarding finance-related matters.
* Assist with payroll-related accounting activities, as required.
* Support internal and external audits by providing the required financial records and documentation.
* Monitor expenses and ensure transactions are properly recorded and supported by relevant documents.
* Ensure compliance with company financial policies, procedures, and applicable UAE regulations.
* Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
* Minimum 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
* Native Arabic speaker with strong English communication skills.
* Strong hands-on experience on UAE accounting practices, VAT, and financial reporting.
* Proven experience handling full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
* Strong knowledge of UAE VAT compliance and VAT return preparation.
* Experience in preparing financial statements, management reports, account schedules, and reconciliations.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
* Experience with Tally, Zoho Books, SAP, Oracle, or similar accounting/ERP systems.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial procedures.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work independently, take ownership of accounting activities, and meet deadlines.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate with management, auditors, banks, suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
* Professional qualification such as ACCA, CMA, CA, or equivalent will be an advantage.
