Job Description
- Monitor and validate all regular/period closing accounting processes to ensure timely and accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions
- Ensure financial transactions are in compliance to budgetary thresholds set
- Process, monitor and implement all accounts payments checks and ensure all disbursements are aligned with company policy
- Validate sales transactions and ensure recording of received funds in various forms against recorded sales
- Perform account reconciliation process on timely basis to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial data
- Contribute by responding, coordinating & investigating requests/queries received from the stakeholders as per agreed SLA
- Establish and analyze various costs in accordance with the approved budget and produce related reports to support and aid business decision
- Analyze processes and recommend changes to achieve improvement, automation and cost savings
- Contribute to revising work methods, forms, formats, and standards to improve operational efficiency and coordinate with stakeholders in revising work processes and methods
Qualifications
Education Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or commerce or equivalent
Work Experience
- At least 4 years’ experience in the area of Finance, preferably in more than one area
- Sound bookkeeping knowledge
- Knowledge of advanced excel functions
- MS Office proficiency
- ERP experience in Finance Modules
- Process improvements
- Conducting analysis and providing summaries/recommendations
Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to effectively interact with employees and stakeholders
- Understanding of VAT rules and application on transactions
