Overview of the Role:
The Sales Engineer is a results-oriented professional with experience in the marine industry and/or power products. This role is responsible for achieving sales and profit targets in the assigned area, with a focus on driving business growth through strong customer relationships. The Sales Engineer will collaborate cross-functionally with the aftersales team, logistics, and finance to ensure customer satisfaction and meet business objectives.
What You Will Do:
- Drive sales and achieve sales and profit targets for the assigned areas and products.
- Prepare detailed proposals, including technical specifications and commercial terms.
- Identify new leads in the marine and power products industries and convert them into real business opportunities.
- Actively engage in the market, conducting visits, meetings, and interactions with customers, including shipyards, fleet owners, and end users.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing ongoing support and assistance.
- Stay up to date with regional projects, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
- Collaborate with the aftersales team, logistics, and finance to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Required Skills to Be Successful:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Marine, or a related field.
- Strong technical and sales knowledge in diesel engines, power generators, and the marine industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and business skills.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales of diesel engines, power generation, or marine industry products, with at least 2 years in the GCC region.
- Valid UAE driving license.
- Sound technical knowledge in marine and power generation equipment.
- Strategic thinking skills with the ability to plan and organize effectively.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key customers in the marine and power products industries.
- Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
