Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Shareholder Accounts: Maintain shareholder accounts, recording transactions and ensuring accurate, up-to-date balances.
  • Alaan Card Management: Record and reconcile Alaan Card transactions, maintain supporting documentation, and monitor outstanding items.
  • Intercompany Reconciliations: Perform intercompany account reconciliations, ensuring balances are accurately recorded and matched between entities.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
  • Bookkeeping: Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting entries in the accounting system.
  • Month-End Closing: Assist in monthly closing activities, including posting entries, reviewing ledger balances, and completing account reconciliations.
  • General Ledger: Maintain accurate General Ledger (GL) accounts and supporting schedules.
  • Additional Support: Assist the Senior Accountant / Finance Manager with other accounting and reporting requirements as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the UAE.
  • Good understanding of bookkeeping, General Ledger, bank reconciliation, and month-end closing.
  • Experience in intercompany and shareholder account reconciliation is preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
  • UAE VAT knowledge would be an advantage.
