Financial Controller – BTME

1. Scope of work

The Company Controller has overall responsibility for the Bilfinger Tebodin Middle East Ltd. (BTME)’s budget and forecasting processes, working capital management and investment analysis. Company Controller is also responsible for project control and verification of reporting from Project Management Office (PMO).

The Company Controller will support and challenge the organisation on financial issues and drive a performance based culture within the company.

2. Field of responsibility

Company Controller shall ensure high quality in the P&L reporting from all operating projects in BDBE. This includes, but is not limited to, the following areas of responsibility:

• Continuous monitoring of the projects’ financial performance and advise actions if significant deviations or trends occur
• Evaluation of the financial performance in the projects, incl transparent and efficient routines in the monthly evaluation of projects’ status and forecast
• Ensure relevant IT systems/tools are efficiently applied and developed, and ensure high quality of reporting
• Manage budget and forecasting processes
• Changes of volume and order situation (Volume and Contract Reporting)
• Working capital and cash flow management
• Financial risk management (Risks & Opportunities)
• Provide management support and assurance
• Ensure tenders fully comply with Group Procedures
• Cooperation, communication and coherence of all staff, with a particular focus on driving a performance based culture and continuous improvement
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting and efficient communication with Region’s Shared Service Centers (Finance, procurement, IT, HR, payroll)

3. Reporting responsibility

The Company Controller’s reporting includes:

• Financial reporting to Group (monthly, quarterly, half-year and annual)
• Company scorecard report
• Monthly management report
• Project evaluation and performance reports, incl BTOP

4. Reporting line

Company Controller reports to the Manager of Finance Shared Service Centre

6. Requirements

• Bachelors or Master’s degree, preferably in finance or accounting, or in combination with a technical degree
• Extensive relevant experience (5-10 years) from projects in engineering industry
• Keen interest in the oil and gas industry and the commercial drivers
• Commercial and financial aptitude
• Strong analytical and project control skills
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills
