Job Description
The Senior Manager – HR Operations is responsible to oversee HR operations across functions and campuses to maintain consistency in HR services delivered. The incumbent is responsible to establish and supervise HR support helpdesk for functions and campuses that channels and follows-up on requests with the appropriate HR section. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible to provide proper tools, methods and guidelines to campus HR on campuses to effectively undertake their role in compliance with policies, procedures and processes.
Main Responsibilities:
1) Strategic:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Human Resources strategy in alignment with HCT’s system-wide strategy.
- Support with the development and implementation of Human Resources policies, procedures and processes and monitor compliance of subordinates.
- Contribute to the development of the annual budget of the Human Resources department.
2) Operational:
- Establish and supervise an HR support helpdesk for functions and campuses that channels, tracks and follows-up on campus requests with the appropriate section within HR.
- Monitor the timely, effective and efficient resolution of HR issues and requests across functions and campuses.
- Collect and analyze queries from various campus HR and identify improvement opportunities to be implemented across campuses.
- Collaborate with Talent Management to train and upskill campus HR in order to continuously enhance HR services provided on campuses.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition for the recruitment of qualified campus HR to campuses.
- Ensure that tools, methods, policies, procedures and processes developed by central HR are communicated properly to campus HR and that all campus HR are provided with the proper training and support.
- Review campus HR activities to extract lessons learned and replicate them across campuses.
- Coordinate with campuses to collect information on campus HR performance and HR service satisfaction.
- Look at service delivery model and processes related to central and campus interaction and recommend improvements.
- Escalate risks and issues received from to relevant parties within HR or to the CHRO as and when required.
3) People Management:
- Provide professional development support and perform periodic performance appraisals for direct subordinates based on HCT’s Performance Management System.
- Support in the development of workforce plans and succession plans for key positions in the HR Operations section.
- Contribute to the identification of learning and development needs of employees within the HR Operations section.
- Coach and mentor subordinates on a regular basis.
- Contribute in an effective and efficient manner to the recruitment and development of UAE Nationals.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required e.g. Human Resources, Business Administration.
- Full English proficiency is required.
- Intermediate computer literacy is required e.g. MS Office, MS Project, Banner.
- Minimum of eight years of relevant work experience in Human Resources with at least two years of experience in a managerial role.
