Core responsibilities

• Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including salary disbursements, deductions, and bonuses, to ensure employees are paid correctly and on time.
• Compliance: Ensure the company complies with all regulations.
• Team Management: Supervise, train, and guide a team of payroll specialists to ensure the department’s efficiency and effectiveness.
• Reporting and Auditing: Prepare and analyze payroll reports, maintain accurate records, and assist with audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Process Improvement: Develop and implement payroll policies, procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Problem Resolution: Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise.
• Collaboration: Work closely with HR, finance, and other departments to coordinate on payroll inputs, employee data, and policy consistency.

Key skills and qualifications

• Knowledge: Deep knowledge of the payroll function.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and a high degree of attention to detail.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar programs.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial for managing data and resolving discrepancies.
• Education: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is often required.
