Job Title: IT Support Executive

Reports to: IT- Program Leader

Location: Dubai

ROLE PURPOSE:

  • To ensure proper functioning of all the equipment in the Computer Lab and other departments. Make sure that technical help is provided to the staff members as well as students.

ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To maintain the File server, student server.
  • To install, configure and repair the computers in Lab, Classrooms, faculties and the departments.
  • To maintain the projectors in labs and classrooms.
  • To take backups.
  • To visit the labs and classrooms to make sure the IT equipment are working fine.
  • To set the policies and implement It to secure the Data in file server.
  • One call support over phone else visit to the users as soon as possible to rectify the problems.
  • Pre-emptive maintenance as per schedule and periodic updates.
  • Regular updates of antivirus and software.
  • To maintain all the computers/laptops in operational condition.
  • To maintain the Web server and mail server.
  • To install, configure and repair the entire computer in Lab, Classrooms, staff and faculties.
  • To maintain the multimedia resource in the classroom and labs.
  • To take Backups, database server and mail servers.
  • Basic maintenance & configuring the PABX systems.
  • Regular maintenance of the Hardware, updates of antivirus, software & networking devices.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree required.
  • Concentration in Hardware preferred.
  • Certification in IT related courses.
  • At least three plus years in IT related role within professional services environment.
  • Ability to communicate orally, both in person and by telephone.
  • Ability to handle hardware related maintenance operations.
  • Ability to establish rapport with staff & students.
  • Ability to present oneself in an appropriately personable and professional manner to students and staff.
