Job Description
As an Officer, Procurement you will manage day-to-day procurement operations, ensuring efficient ordering, approval, and replenishment of supplies across departments. Your role supports the hospital’s operational efficiency by maintaining stock levels, optimizing inventory flow, and collaborating with teams to implement effective inventory management. Experience in pharmaceutical procurement is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Purchase Order Management: Prepare, issue, and approve orders, ensuring adherence to procedures.
- Inventory Oversight: Monitor and proactively address inventory levels to prevent shortages.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with clinical, operational, and finance teams to meet supply needs.
- Replenishment & Stock Control: Ensure timely stock replenishment and proper storage.
- Supplier Relations: Coordinate with suppliers for pricing, order fulfillment, and issue resolution.
- Process Improvement: Work with the team to enhance procurement efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Compliance & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records for auditing and regulatory purposes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field; CIPS certification is a plus.
- Experience: 2+ years in procurement, inventory management, or stock control, preferably in healthcare.
- Skills: Proficiency with procurement software, strong organizational skills, cross-functional communication, and inventory forecasting abilities.
- Technology: Oracle Fusion, SAP and excel experience a plus.
