The Senior Manager Group Tax is a critical leadership role in implementing AD Ports Groupās global tax strategy and policies, ensuring compliance and governance across multiple jurisdictions with a strong focus tax reporting, tax technology adoption and emerging international requirements such as Pillar Two.
The position is responsible for leading Group tax reporting and accounting processes, ensuring compliance with international tax standards and Pillar 2 requirements. The role provides oversight of global tax compliance and supports strategic tax initiatives, including M&A and structuring projects. Acting as a technical lead, the Senior Manager will mentor junior team members and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage tax risks and maintain robust governance.
Core Responsibilities:
- Support in implementing global AD Ports tax strategies and policies developed by the Vice President ā Group Tax, ensuring consistent application, robust governance, and alignment with business objectives and risk appetite.
- Lead the preparation and review of Group tax reporting and accounting, including IFRS tax provisions and disclosures.
- Support the Senior Manager ā Group Tax (Spain) with aspects of Pillar 2 compliance and reporting requirements across the Group.
- Oversee global tax compliance processes, ensuring timely and accurate filings.
- Maintain and update the Group Tax Risk Register and contribute to tax policy development.
- Support Vice President ā Group Tax on tax structuring, M&A transactions, and strategic projects.
- Liaise with external advisors and auditors on complex tax matters.
People Management Responsibilities:
- Mentor and guide Managers and Analysts in technical tax areas.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the tax team.
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of tax governance frameworks and risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide technical input on emerging tax regulations and their impact on the Group.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Bachelorās degree in accounting, Taxation, Finance, Business or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Professional Certification in accounting or tax (CA, CTA, CPA, ATT, etc.)
- English (mandatory).
- Minimum 10ā12 years of progressive tax experience, including significant exposure to tax accounting and reporting under IFRS.
- Proven experience as a tax leader, public accountant or similar role.
- Familiarity with OECD guidelines, Pillar Two rules, and global tax frameworks.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and tax technology tools for compliance and reporting. Oracle Fusion / TRCS / FCCS knowledge is a bonus.
- Excellent experience in financial models, financial management, budgeting and financial analysis.
- Ability to comprehend numerical and statistical data.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Professionacy in using financial softwares/tools and data analysis.
- Ability to use IT applications to report, manipulate, design and analyse data.
- Experience with variety of other strategy management approaches and methodologies advantageous.
- Good following-up skills and analytical skills, including the ability to analyse problems and identify creative, realistic solutions.
