Manager – Learning & Development | MAF Retail | Head Office UAE

Role Summary

The Manager – Training leads the learning and development function for UAE Ecommerce operations, overseeing training delivery for 4,000+ fulfillment pickers and last-mile drivers. This role bridges operational excellence and workforce capability, ensuring staff master processes, systems, and customer satisfaction standards through both formal onboarding and continuous microlearning.

ROLE PROFILE

  • Create role-specific paths for pickers, drivers, and supervisors.
  • Design and deliver classroom and online onboarding for all new hires.
  • Ensure mastery of Wings (Last Mile) and Alecto (Fulfillment) software systems.
  • Communicate standard operating procedures (SOPs), dos/don’ts, and customer satisfaction expectations.
  • Deploy weekly microlearning via SaaS platforms (Axonify, EdApp, or equivalent).
  • Create bite-sized content on soft skills, operational excellence, safety, and system updates.
  • Establish and monitor training effectiveness metrics (completion rates, assessment scores, time-to-proficiency).
  • Link training outputs to operational KPIs (order accuracy, on-time delivery, picking speed, customer satisfaction)
  • Develop scalable, modular training content (video, interactive modules, job aids, simulations).

  • Manage content updates across all platforms as processes and software change
  • Ensure content is available in English and Arabic
  • Conduct coaching sessions on instructional delivery and adult learning principles

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of training/L&D experience in retail, eCommerce, logistics, or fast-paced operations Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and microlearning platforms (Axonify, EdApp, or similar)
  • Familiarity with operational training (fulfillment, warehouse, last-mile delivery).
