The Senior Manager leads a team of FM professionals and external vendors to ensure that all buildings and grounds are safe, sustainable, and compliant with local regulations (such as those in the UAE for 2026). Key focuses include long-term asset management, large-scale project delivery, and driving cost-optimization across the portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute multi-year FM strategies aligned with organizational growth and sustainability goals.
- Manage departmental Opex and Capex budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness through rigorous contract negotiations and resource allocation.
- Oversee the delivery of hard services (MEP, HVAC, civil works) and soft services (cleaning, security, waste management) across multiple sites or large-scale campuses.
- Lead the procurement process, including tender submissions and bid estimations, while managing vendor performance against SLAs and KPIs.
- Implement energy-efficient practices and ensure all facilities adhere to international FM standards and local health, safety, and environmental (HSE) laws.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team, overseeing performance reviews, recruitment, and professional development.
- Direct major facility modifications, refurbishments, and office moves, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil), or Business Administration.
- Minimum 10 years of FM experience, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role.
- Professional credentials such as CFM (Certified Facility Manager), FMP (Facility Management Professional), or membership in bodies like IWFM or RICS are highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of building automation systems (BMS), computer-aided facility management (CAFM) software, and safety codes.
