Accountant

Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. As an accountant you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, managing transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and UAE financial regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate financial reports, including daily, weekly, and monthly financial statements, highlighting expenditures, revenue, and any discrepancies.
• Track and manage project budgets, ensuring that all costs are within the approved budget, and report any overages to the senior management.
• Oversee all cash transactions, ensure the proper handling of petty cash, and ensure that all receipts and invoices are accurate.
• Verify invoices from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring that they align with contracts and project specifications. Process payments in accordance with project schedules.
• Reconcile accounts, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all financial records and transactions.
• Ensure that all financial practices comply with UAE accounting laws and company policies. Assist with internal and external audits.
• Work closely with the head office finance team for data consolidation, reporting, and any financial inquiries.
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and receipts, ensuring that all documents are well-organized and easy to retrieve.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience as an accountant, preferably within the construction or landscaping industry.
• Strong understanding of UAE accounting laws, taxes, and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, etc.) and MS Excel.
• Strong knowledge of cost management, financial reporting, and budget preparation.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills in both Arabic and English (verbal and written).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
